A couple of days ago new book came out: The Garden of Prisoners, essays about comics, by Boris Lazic (not sure about the title translation), published by BKG. First time for me to do a design on this theme, and I used a part of comic about Tintin on the cover.
Konačno završen i poslat u štampu...
(Najzad mogu da odahnem...)
Oko 200 strana, 50 autora iz različitih zemalja (Velika Britanija, Slovenija, Srbija, Crna Gora, Bosna i Hercegovina, Hrvatska, Srbija, Rumunija, Bugarska, Makedonija, Grčka, Izrael, Jermenija i Turska), poezija, proza, crteži, fotografije...
Finally finished and sent to print.. (At last I can feel relieved...) Over 200 pages, 50 authors from different countries (Great Britain, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Greece, Israel, Armenia and Turkey), poetry, prose, drawings and photos...
The issue is dedicated to the project Word Express that passed through Belgrade last year.
The first idea for this cover was the old train tickets (made of cardboard) that I remember as a child, and the way that controller used to pierce them with something... Now they're ofcourse gone, but I wish I could see them once again...
If designer can allow him/herself the arrogance of dedicating his work to someone, then this is for my grandpa who used to work on the railway, and whom I unfortunately never met, only remebering him from the photos...
Nisam skidala mladeže i doterivala ih u photoshopu.

New posters for Poetry Cinema, an event organized by Poezin, for poetry videos on every second Sunday in month, in buffet Ventil, Kapetan Misina 14, Belgrade.
This time I didn't want to draw on the body, but instead to transfer the drawing via video projector on the body. This was the first time for me to do such a thing, and I really wasn't sure how the things are gonna work out. But thanks to people from club Akademija who gave us the space and the projector everything worked just fine :) Thanks everyone!
Ofcourse, the inspiration for this was the Russian avantguarde and the poster by the Stenberg brothers for the movie Man with the Movie Camera, by Dziga Vertov, from 1929. What was the most important thing for me is that models are ordinary people. I didn't took off birthmarks and smoothed their skin in photoshop. I wanted a body with character, with a story, not a perfect body from the magazine. I think that graphic design can do much more than simply sell a product...
